That's a quote from my main boo Audre Lorde. It's one of those statements I toss around when I'm feeling especially feisty, and one I doodle in my journals when I'm trying to speak things into existence — much like Octavia Butler.
But the truth? I'm scared of most things.
Okay, every thing.
But I've found trying to eliminate fear only results in another task on the to-do list that will never get done. Instead, diminish it's prominence. Because Audre also said:
When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.
